This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
