Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the past month - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents his initial trophy following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface after that period of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to wonder if his ability to compete at the highest level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet saved 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
